I worked as an Environment Artist on Just Cause 3 for Avalanche Studios NYC. My main responsibilities was to create terrain textures for our big scale terrain shader. Our in-house tool let us set up rules (such as curvature, height and slope) for how the textures would blend, tint and behave. I created textures for both far and near distances, the two texture sets scale was 64m^ and 4m^. All textures were blended using a large scale mask, blending four textures together, in conjuction with heightmaps to create realistic transitions.

Besides terrain textures and materials I tweaked general environment textures to work better with our PBR system.
